Zee Cinema is a Canadian Category B Hindi language specialty channel owned by Ethnic Channel Group. Zee Cinema is primarily an Indian Bollywood film channel airing shows from the library of Zee Cinema. Programming includes classic and contemporary films and film-related television series.

On March 2, 2012, Ethnic Channel Group received approval from the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to launch a television channel called Bollywood SD – Hindi Movie Channel, described as “a national, exclusive third-language ethnic specialty segment”. done. The B service is mainly dedicated to Hindi cinema and targets the Hindi-speaking community in Canada.”

Before the launch of the Bollywood SD-Hindi movie channel, the Zee Cinema brand existed in Canada since 2005 through a partnership with Asian television networks and a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment Entertainment, who launched a Canadian version of Zee Cinema called ATN Zee Cinema.

On July 25, 2012, ATN G Cinemas was renamed to ATN Movies OK. In the same month following the rebrand, the Bollywood SD – Hindi movie channel launched as Zee Cinema through a newly formed licensing partnership between Ethnic Channel Group and Zee Entertainment, a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment.
