The NBA playoffs are hotting up with the Conference Finals now upon us. The Boston Celtics have upset the Kevin Durant led Brooklyn Nets and the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks.

Who does Boston Celtics play next?

The Boston Celtics are into the Eastern Conference Finals after overcoming Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks in a gruelling seven-game series.

After winning the series 4-3, the Boston Celtics will now play the Miami Heat in the Conference Finals.

The No.1 seeded Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs before beating Joel Embiid, James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

When is Game 1 between the Celtics and Heat?

The Heat and Celtics will now face off in what is a repeat of the 2020 Conference Finals. That series, which took place in Orlando’s covid-19 “bubble”, was won by the Heat who advanced to the NBA Finals where they were beaten by the Lakers.

The Celtics will be looking to get revenge two years on. Game 1 between the Celtics and Heat takes place in Miami on Tuesday (17 May) at 8:30 PM ET.

Game 2 will take place on Thursday before the series switches over to Boston for Game 3.

How the Celtics’ postseason has gone so far

The Celtics have proven themselves as the ultimate team this year, with one of the grittiest and toughest defensive units in the league.

In the first round of the playoffs they faced off against the heavily favored Brooklyn Nets, led by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Despite being the underdogs, the Celtics were able to sweep the Nets 4-0 and advance.

The Conference Semifinals were much closer, with the series being decided in Game 7.

Giannis and the Bucks took Game 1 but the Celtics evened up the series in Game 2. The Bucks the put on an impressive display in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead before the Celtics evened the series up at 2-2.

Milwaukee once again led after Game 6 but the Celtics refused to roll over, rattling off two consecutive wins to take the series.
