Tottenham want £9m man on loan again, but Torino have entered talks

TuttoMercatoWeb claim Tottenham want to sign Pierluigi Gollini on loan again, despite a tricky first campaign. However, TMW claim Spurs might face competition in their bid to re-sign him on loan – with Torino in talks.

Gollini, 27, has only managed 10 appearances for Spurs since joining the club on loan from Atalanta last summer. Being knocked out of the Europa Conference League did not help his lack of game time as second goalkeeper.

Despite that, the report claims Tottenham want to re-sign Gollini on loan this summer – for a second season. Reports earlier this year claim Fiorentina and Lazio are also interested in the £9million-rated goalkeeper.

Now, the latest report also says another Serie A club are in talks with Gollini – in Torino. The report also states that Gollini is interested in a move to Torino – after dropping a hint that he could be about to leave London.

Tottenham want another Gollini loan: Torino is his better move

Gollini has been happy with providing cover for Hugo Lloris this season, despite only clocking up 10 appearances. If Spurs can secure another loan for Gollini then it makes sense, but for the player himself, he needs to go.

Staying at a club at his age, as cover is not going to allow him to progress his career. A move to Torino, where he would be first choice, would be much more beneficial for the goalkeeper. Torino is the best move for his career.
