Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane share most Premier League Player of the Month awards

Kane claimed his seventh Premier League Player of the Month award when the Tottenham forward won it in March 2022. The gong moved the England captain level with Manchester City icon Sergio Aguero for the most successes since it was first awarded in August 1994.

Jurgen Klinsmann was the maiden recipient during his time at Spurs, who have won it the fourth-most as a club. Manchester United stars have received the most titles with 42 from 21 players, ahead of Liverpool (32 from 17), Arsenal (30 from 20) and Spurs (24 from 14).

Kane earned the gong for the first time in January 2015 and claimed a double with the title in February. His next successes followed in March 2016, then in February, September and December 2017. The striker had to wait until March 2022 to receive his seventh and latest.

As for Aguero, the Argentine scooped his maiden title in October 2013 before a year-long wait until November 2014. He added further titles in January and April 2016, January 2018, February 2019 and his last success followed in January 2020 to move to the top of the tree.
