Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a bid for Atalanta full-back Joakim Maehle, according to Il Giornale.
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Tottenham are ready to bid €18 million (£15.28 million) for the 24-year-old Denmark international.
And, according to the report, Atalanta are willing to evaluate that offer and potentially sell Maehle to Tottenham.
Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Joakim Maehle from Atalanta?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could complete the signing of Joakim Maehle from Atalanta if they make a bid of £15 million.
The report Il Giornale suggests that Atalanta are open to selling the full-back, and the Serie A club are unlikely to make it hard during negotiations.
Tottenham signed Cristiano Romero from Atalanta last summer, and the Argentina international central defender has done well for Spurs this season.
It will probably encourage Maehle to make the move to Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
Maehle has made 15 starts and 10 substitute appearances in Serie A this Eason.
The full-back has scored one goal and given one assist in those games.
The defender also played five times in the Champions League and three times in the Europa League for Atalanta this season.
