T Sports Channel Live

T Sports, also known as Titus Sports, is a Bangladeshi Bengali language sports oriented television channel owned by East West Media Group, a subsidiary of Bashundhara Group. It is the first television channel in Bangladesh dedicated to sports programs. Also, T Sports added a high definition channel called T Sports HD which was launched on 9 January 2021.

T Sports started broadcasting in late 2020, starting with a televised match between Bangladesh and Nepal on 9 November 2020. On the same day, it was announced that they would broadcast the Bangabandhu T20 Cup, a five-team T20. Cricket competition in Bangladesh. Later, on 10 January 2021, they added an HD channel called “T Sports HD”.

T-Sports, Bangladesh’s first sports channel, has started its journey with live telecast of the Mujibvarsh FIFA Tier-1 International Friendly Series match between Bangladesh and Nepal.

T-Sports, an associate concern of Bashundhara Group’s East West Media Group Limited, started their journey with the ambition of promoting sports in the country. The channel aims to telecast live matches from different parts of the world while they are trying to emphasize on entertainment by airing various reality shows related to sports. Bashundhara Group has been working tirelessly for the development of sports in the country and this is just another step for them to express their love for sports.

The channel was named Titus Sports and will initially run as T-Sports in the coming days. Bashundhara Group is involved in the sports arena of Bangladesh as they sponsor Rangpur Riders franchise in Bangladesh Premier League, Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited in Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. Apart from cricket, they brought a revolution in football by establishing Bashundhara Kings as it is considered as the best football club in the professional league and they also support Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra and Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited. Bashundhara is actively involved in sponsoring major sporting events in the country.
However, the time has come to focus on sports marketing as it will help in the growth of the sector. Marketing of sports depends on telecast rights as it is expected to bring in revenue.

After entering the market through the Mujibvarsh series, Bashundhara Group took the initiative to launch T-Sports with the aim of presenting various sports events to the audience by acquiring the media rights of various sports events.

T-Sports successfully telecasted the first match between Nepal and Bangladesh and the response they got was overwhelming even though it was the first international match held in Bangladesh as all sports activities across the country were suspended for more than seven months due to the coronavirus crisis.

Looking ahead to the telecast of the final match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today (November 17), T-Sports Football is looking forward to maintaining the same standard it showed in the opening match of the tournament.

T Sports will begin their operations in the cricket arena by telecasting the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 tournament scheduled from November 24 and they are hoping to expand their reach by promoting various domestic leagues in the country which were more or less neglected earlier.

Bangladesh’s premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and current T20 captain Mahmudullah Riyad will play for Gemcon Khulna in the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 Cup and Mushfiqur Rahim will play for Beximco Dhaka in the tournament. Fortune Barisal has roped in experienced batsman Tamim Iqbal and Gazi Group has roped in Chittagong cutter Mustafizur Rahman.
BCB has shortlisted 157 cricketers and placed them in A, B, C and D categories. A grade consists of the top five cricketers in the country who will earn Rs 15,00,000 while B, C, and D grade cricketers will get Rs 10,00,000, BDT 6,00,000, BDT 4,00,000 and each team can rap the maximum. 16 players.

Only Bangladeshi cricketers will participate in this tournament and T-Sports has taken up the challenge of showcasing their talent across the world by broadcasting the tournament as they have acquired three broadcast rights of the competition i.e. DTH, OTT and satellite rights.

T-Sports is also looking to telecast the Lankan Premier League, which is also expected to start on November 26 and according to their officials, only the matches that coincide with the Bangabandhu T20 will be dropped as they will not compromise their ethics. Highlighting Bangladesh first.
