Chris Sutton has predicted on BBC 606 that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will beat Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to the fourth spot in the Premier League table this season.
Arsenal will slip up in the final two games of the Premier League season and hand the fourth spot to North London rivals Tottenham, according to former Chelsea striker Sutton.
Arsenal are fifth in the league table at the moment with 66 points from 36 matches, two points behind Tottenham, who have played 37 games.
Chelsea are third with 70 points from 36 matches.
Arsenal will take on Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Chris Sutton on Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur top four
Sutton said on BBC 606: “I think Spurs will now (finish in the top four). Big win against Arsenal on Thursday. Absolutely wiped the floor with them.”
The pundit added: “Arsenal have got work to do. I think they will slip up.”
Who’ll finish fourth?
In our opinion, Arsenal have the advantage over Tottenham in the race for the final Champions League place in the Premier League table.
The Gunners have a game in hand and have destiny in their hands.
All Arsenal need to do is win their final two Premier League matches of the season.
Now, we know that it is not going to be easy to win against Newcastle.
However, Arsenal have a better team, and fans would expect Arteta’s side to bounce back from the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby last week.
