Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown says there’s answers in penultimate season

Millie Bobby Brown has teased there’s ‘answers’ in Stranger Things season 4, so is this the final season of the show?

Ahead of the launch of the new season of the hit Netflix show on May 27, 18-year-old Brown had a sit-down with the Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, during which she had plenty of teaser for fans.

Season 4 Will Have ‘Answers’

According to the British actor, season 4 of Stranger Things will have the ‘answers’ we so desperately want for all our questions surrounding Brown’s character Eleven, after Fallon asked.

She said: “Definitely lots of answers — lots of crying, lots of laughing.”

Brown had previously said this season is the ‘beginning of the end’. “The main part, and the slogan of this storyline, is it’s the beginning of the end,” she said.

“We really have to dig deep into [Eleven’s] beginning and how she became who she is with the people around her, and how to gain that autonomy and become this woman on her own. So this storyline this season really digs into that.”

However, with these kind of teasers we can’t help wondering; is this going to be the final season?

If you feared that to be true, take a deep breath because Stranger Things has been been renewed for a fifth – and final – season.

In an open letter to fans in February 2022 creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed there would be a fifth, but it would be ‘the last’.

They wrote: “Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons.

“It proved too large to tell in four but — as you’ll see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; Season 5 will be the last.”

A Stranger Things Spin-off

But fans shouldn’t be too devastated as in the open letter the creators have teased there could be a spin-off series after saying there’s more ‘stories to tell’ from the fictional Stranger Things universe.

“There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things,” they wrote, “new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.”

The creative duo told SFX Magazine they have ideas they haven’t even told Netflix about.

“We’re going to feel like we still have a lot more gas left in the tank,” they said.

“But I think that it’s better to end there with us wanting more. That’s why ending at five felt like the right move. We haven’t told anyone our plans! Not even Netflix! We have some ideas.
