Former Anfield star Graeme Souness has praised reported Liverpool target and West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen on Sky Sports Premier League (2:53pm, May 14, 2022).
The Liverpool legend was impressed by Bowen’s performance for West Ham against Manchester City in the Premier League at the weekend.
The 25-year-old English attacker scored both goals for West Ham in the 2-2 draw with last season’s champions Manchester City at London Stadium.
90min reported last month that Liverpool are long-term admirers of Bowen and want to sign the £80,000-a-week (SalarySport) attacker in the summer transfer window.
Praise for Liverpool target Jarrod Bowen
Souness said about Bowen on Sky Sports Premier League (2:53pm, May 14, 2022): “This boy is a proper player. He has had a really really good season.”
Anfield interest no surprise
In our opinion, rumour linking Jarrod Bowen with a move to Liverpool from West Ham United is not a surprise.
We think that Bowen is good enough to play for Liverpool or any other ‘elite’ club in England for that matter.
The English attacker has been superb for the Hammers for a while now, and he is only 25.
Bowen’s best years are ahead of him.
The West Ham no. 20 has made 33 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
Bowen has scored 12 goals and given 10 assists in those games.
