Player Liverpool reportedly want to sign is ‘a lethal finisher’

Owen Hargreaves has raved about reported Liverpool target and West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen on Premier League Productions.

Bowen, linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool from Premier League rivals West Ham in the summer transfer window, is a “lethal finisher”, according to former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves.

Hargreaves was impressed by Bowen’s performance for West Ham against Manchester City in the Premier League at the weekend.

90min reported last month that Liverpool are long-term admirers of Bowen and want to sign the £80,000-a-week (SalarySport) attacker from West Ham in the summer transfer window.

Praise for Liverpool target and West Ham star Jarrod Bowen

Hargreaves said about Bowen on Premier League Productions: “Pressure – that’s exactly what it does, it causes issues. West Ham are a really good side and have a lethal finisher in Jarrod Bowen.”

Making the Reds better

In our opinion, Jarrod Bowen would make Liverpool a better and more potent team, but West Ham are unlikely to sell him for a small amount.

The Hammers are surely going to ask for a lot.

After all, West Ham are an established club in the Premier League with European ambitions.

Bowen has developed into a brilliant goalscorer who would give Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp another good option.

Now, of course, we could argue that Liverpool do not need to sign a new attacking player, given that they have Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.

The West Ham no. 20 has made 33 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.

Bowen has scored 12 goals and given 10 assists in those games.

The Englishman scored eight goals and gave five assists in the league last season.
