Overwatch Anniversary Remix Vol 2 Release Time

Blizzard has revealed that the second part of the Overwatch Anniversary Remix event launches on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. And like with Volume One, no set time has been announced for when things will begin. But based on previous updates; we would expect the new Remix Vol 2 patch to arrive after 7pm BST. It should be noted that Blizzard has also confirmed that Overwatch 2 Beta will end at 7pm, which sounds likely to coincide with the launch of the next OW event.

This will be the second of three Remix events hosted in 2022 that will boast fresh skin designs and cosmetics. The latest news suggests that each Remix will feature Legendary skins, and a new mode rotation that pulls from different seasonal events. A message from Blizzard adds:

“Along with fan-favourite Legendary skins, we’re bringing back a select few exclusive skins from past Overwatch Challenge events. Miss out on snagging these the first time around? Now’s your chance to add them to your collection. Play games in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or the Arcade to unlock sprays, player icons, and stylish skins like Nano D.Va, Bastet Ana, and Combat Medic Baptiste. Wins count as two games. Each week brings new rewards to earn.”

Blizzard has already confirmed that during each Anniversary remix event, three popular mini-event skins return and are made available to unlock through a new set of challenges. However, these changes mean that regular events will not be making a return, with Archives, standard Anniversary, and Summer Games dropped for 2022. The dev team has confirmed that parts of them are incorporated, with Archives Missions, Lucio Ball, and Mei’s Snowball Challenge all scheduled to return a few more times this year.

The Anniversary Remix events will also introduce a new set of variants in place of the normal event schedule, all of which will transfer to Overwatch 2 along with all previously earned skins, sprays, and player icons.
