During the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, Machine Gun Kelly devoted a song to his “unborn child”, which led to rumours he could be expecting a baby with Megan Fox.

Megan Fox and MGK announced their engagement in January this year after they started dating in 2020.

MGK dedicates song to ‘unborn child’

Machine Gun Kelly, 32, is trending on social media after he performed his track Twin Flame at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday.

“I wrote this song for my wife,” he said onstage before adding a few minutes later: “And this is for our unborn child.”

MGK seemingly hinted he and Megan might have had a fast-track wedding similar to the rumoured one of their celebrity pals Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian.

The rapper also sparked rumours he and Megan could be expecting a child. However, they haven’t come forward with a statement at the time of writing.

The 32-year-old musician opened up about the meaning behind the song Twin Flame to Entertainment Tonight and told the outlet:

“I wrote this song two years ago exactly today, played it for her. It’s just all the trip. It’s all meant to be. It’s really cool because it’s a lunar eclipse tonight. It’s a full moon. It’s her birthday tomorrow.”

MGK’s song leaves fans in tears

While many media outlets were quick to jump on speculation Megan Fox could be pregnant, a number of fans were left in tears over the song and its lyrics.

Some fans have speculated whether MGK’s “unborn child” revelation might be connected to pregnancy because the song seems to include a heartbeat, which could be that of a baby. Others have claimed to read into MGK’s lyrics that the couple may have lost a child during their relationship.

One fan pointed to a behind-the-scenes zine for MGK’s album that reads: “The second part of this song came almost two years later. Well, it actually started as a song called One Day And 10 Weeks. Then I made a song called Last November.

“Neither expressed the sadness we experienced from what I will leave private, and I circled back to this song and decided to add on to the story. Our story.”

While MGK decided to share the part about his “unborn child”, many fans have reminded others to be respectful of the couple and their personal life.

One fan tweeted: “Say what you want about @machinegunkelly & @meganfox! I get it now! At the Billboard Music Awards he performed the song he wrote for her. In the song he said: ‘Happy birthday my love’ and then he said: ‘This is for our unborn child.’ You don’t have to get it! It’s none of our business!”

“I’m crying, I just want to give him the biggest hug,” wrote another fan.

Someone else tweeted: “Watched MGK’s performance of Twin Flame from the Billboard Music Awards. It was so perfect and I love that he said ‘this song is for my wife’. I was also crying because that ending part where he said ‘this is for our unborn child’ got me into tears real fast. Best performance.”

During a previous Instagram Live, MGK addressed his album Mainstream Sellout and told fans: “I was actually wondering if anyone would pick up on (that) so I’m going to plead the Fifth on that one and just let you guys have that to guess what it is.

“But yeah, it’s a rough one to talk about.”
