League Champions open talks for Everton star

German outlet Sport1 claim Bayern Munich have already opened talks over a ‘surprise’ move for Everton attacker Richarlison. It comes after reports emerged from Richarlison’s home country, that he wants to leave the club.

The 25-year-old has been one of the club’s best players during a difficult four years, since he joined the club from Watford for a fee of £50million. Clocking up 151 appearances, he has scored 52 and created 14 assists.

But the Brazil international is about to enter the last two years of his contract and Everton may have to cash in. Goal Brasil reported earlier this week that Richarlison wants to leave Everton, in the search of trophies.

He might just get his wish. Sport1 say that Richarlison has made his way onto a list of strikers Bayern could bring in for Robert Lewandowski. While talks are only informal, they have been staged with Richarlison’s agents.

As the report states, a move for Bayern to bring in Richarlison would be a ‘surprise’. But Bayern are going in a new, younger direction and they need to replace Lewandowski who has hit heart set on a move to Barcelona.

Richarlison would be a very good signing. While there are bigger and better names out there, Richarlison is still young at 25 and has not been given the opportunity to play for a club where possession and chances are common.

In a tumultuous Everton spell, a revolving managerial door, rhythm has been hard to come by. At Bayern, it might just be the perfect move for the Everton ace to suddenly blossom.
