Klopp stunned by Liverpool ace v Chelsea

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised winger Luis Diaz on the club’s official website after the FA Cup final against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday.

Klopp’s Liverpool beat Premier League rivals Chelsea on penalties in the final of the FA Cup.

The game finished goalless after extra time, and Liverpool won the penalty shootout 6-5.

Diaz started the match and was superb during his time on the pitch, and his performance and pace left Liverpool manager Klopp stunned.

Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool’s Luis Diaz v Chelsea

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “What a boy, what a story, what a player – but he should have scored! I think we agree, he agrees probably. So the speed he has is insane.

“Not to forget, he played on the side of Chalobah and Reece James and getting in a situation like this is absolutely unlikely.

“The big chance he had in the first half, I think it was a pass from Trent – if you want, we can talk about his performance as well, by the way – and he should have scored in that moment with his quality. That’s how it is. But what a player. He’s outstanding.”

Superb footballer

In our opinion, Luis Diaz has been superb for Klopp’s Liverpool since he joined from FC Porto in the January transfer window.

The Colombian has hit the ground running at Liverpool and has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.

Diaz was brilliant against Chelsea in the FA Cup final, just as he was superb against the Blues in the Carabao Cup final earlier this season.

The 25-year-old had chanced to score, and he was denied by the frame of the Chelsea goal.

Diaz has already won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup final with Liverpool.

Who knows, the winger could end up winning the Premier League and the Champions League with the Reds as well.
