John McGinn says 24-year-old is Aston Villa’s quickest player
[ad_1]
Speaking on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel, John McGinn has been discussing the fastest players at Aston Villa.
Villa are blessed with a number of incredibly quick footballers, from Matty Cash to Ollie Watkins, but according to McGinn, their fastest player is one man who hasn’t played all that often this season.
Indeed, the Scot says that Leon Bailey is Villa’s fastest player, but he states that Watkins and Tyrone Mings would give him a real run for his money.

What’s been said?
McGinn was asked to name who he thought was the fastest player at Villa Park.
“Leon Bailey,” McGinn said.
“Aye he is rapid, we have a few quick players though, Tyrone can shift, Ollie is rapid, Bertrand is quick as well, Ezri and Cashy are quick as well, if we could get six or seven in a relay that’d be decent.
“Top three for me, Ollie Watkins, Leon and Tyrone.”
Speed demons
McGinn is right about Bailey being rapid, but come to think of it, Villa are one of the fastest teams in the Premier League.
Almost every single player in the Villa team has an element of speed about them, and that gives Villa an extra dynamic.
Yes, the Villans have a number of technically astounding players too such as Philippe Coutinho and Emi Buendia, but the likes of Bertrand Traore, Bailey and Watkins can hurt you just through sheer speed.
As McGinn says, if every Premier League team put up a relay squad, you’d fancy Villa to do quite well.
