Tottenham Hotspur have kept the top-four race alive with a brilliant 3-0 win over Arsenal in Thursday night’s North London derby. A win, that saw both Jermaine Jenas and David Seaman react on Twitter after full-time.
With four points separating Tottenham and Arsenal in the race for fourth, Spurs had to win to keep the race alive. A win for Arsenal would have seen them escape the clutches of Antonio Conte’s side. Spurs eased to a 3-0 win.
Harry Kane opened the scoring after Cedric Soares conceded a penalty, Kane sending Aaron Ramsdale the wrong way. Rob Holding was then shown a second yellow card for blocking Son Heung-min in the chase for a pass.
Spurs got a second soon after, Kane getting on the end of a corner before Son Heung-min made it three after good work from Kane just after the interval. A brilliant win for Spurs in such an important game.
It delighted the home crowd and both Jenas and Seaman reacted after full-time. Jenas was understandably delighted, teasing Arsenal – while Seaman was delighted for the full-time whistle to be blown on Thursday night.

A brilliant win for Spurs, but Arsenal are still in the driving seat to win fourth place. They sit a point ahead with Spurs and Arsenal both having two games left to play. Arsenal go to Newcastle on Monday evening.
Spurs, meanwhile, play host to Burnley – a side that are also fighting but at the other end of the Premier League table. It is an intriguing battle but it remains the same – an Arsenal win on Monday, and they get fourth place.
