BigHit Entertainment and Source Music girl group Glam disbanded after one of the members, Dahee, was sentenced to one year in prison by the Seoul District Court. TV Daily reports Korean actor Lee Byung-hun accused two women of blackmailing him over a video on September 2, 2014.

With the recent issues surrounding HYBE x Source Music girl group Le Seraphim, many fans are bringing back BigHit Entertainment (now known as BigHit Music) and Source Music’s first girl group Glam (also spelled Glam) and how they broke up.

Glam and its five members – Jinny, Trinity, Zion, Dahi and Miso – debuted in 2012 with the track Party XXO. However, the group disbanded in 2015 after Dahi was sentenced to a year in prison.

Glam member Trinity left within a year
Glam debuted on July 16, 2012 but, within five months, Source Music and Big Hit Entertainment announced that founding member Trinity was leaving the group for personal reasons.

Koreaboo claimed that Trinity was asked to leave because she was Leeteuk’s saseng of boy group Super Junior. However, these are mere rumors and it is not confirmed why she left glam at the height of her fame.

Korean actor Lee Byung-hoon accused two women of blackmailing him via a video on September 2, 2014, TV Daily reported. The women were later identified as glam member Dahee and model Lee Ji-yeon

After being charged with blackmail, Dahi was sentenced to one year in prison on January 15, 2015, which was changed to a two-year suspended sentence by the court two months later at Lee Byung-hun’s request.

During their short tenure, Glam released four singles Party (XXO), I Like That, In Front of the Mirror and Give It 2 You.

What happened GLAM hybe?
On January 15, 2015, the Seoul District Court sentenced Dahee to one year in prison. The same day, Glam’s agency confirmed that the members of the group had ended their contracts with the agency, and the group had officially disbanded.

Is there a girl group under Bighit?
That year, Bang Si-hyuk signed RM as the first member of BTS and launched nationwide auditions to recruit other members of the group—BTS made their debut under Big Hit on June 13, 2013. In 2012, the company signed Lim Jeong-hee, and formed the girl group GLAM as a collaboration with Source Music.

Big Hit announced its rebranding into an entertainment lifestyle platform company under the name Hybe Corporation in March 2021.
