The Mirror believe Thomas Tuchel is planning an overhaul of his Chelsea side, and is interested in signing Declan Rice.

However, West Ham want £150m for their England international, a sum Chelsea are unwilling to pay.

As a result, Sangare – who Steven Gerrard has personally scouted – is being considered as a cheaper option for the Blues.

It comes after some sources revealed that Crystal Palace are interested in signing the 24-year-old, whereas it was Voetbal International who claimed that Newcastle are also keen.

So far this season, Sangare has made 48 appearances in all competitions for PSV Eindhoven, scoring four goals while also providing four assists.

Ibrahim Sangare would thrive at Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Newcastle or Aston Villa

In our view, the Ivorian would shine in the Premier League.

Standing at 6ft 3in, Sangare has the physique to dominate attacking midfielders in England’s top-flight, and become a real presence in a defensive midfield role.

In terms of screening the backline, he is a very useful asset to have, while his record for goals and assists this season also proves he can chip in at the other end.

Additionally, at the age of 24, he is arguably yet to reach his best, so there is much more to come from the towering midfielder.

Having said that, those at Selhurst Park, St James’ Park and Villa Park won’t be pleased to hear that Chelsea have joined the race, as the Blues can offer Sangare Champions League football.

Nevertheless, keep an eye on this situation, as anything could happen this summer.
