Britney Spears announces tragic miscarriage
On Saturday night, the couple shared the sad news to their followers, just weeks after they had announced that they were expecting a child.
The popstar also told her followers that they are “grateful” for all the fans’ support and “kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
The statement, signed by Sam and Britney, reads: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.
“This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news. Our love for each other is our strength.
“We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.“

Britney’s pregnancy announcement
On April 11, Britney announced the news of her third pregnancy and first child with fiancé, Sam.
The news came months after a 13-year conservatorship under her father, Jamie Spears, ended. According to ITV, the singer had been suffering from abuse and mental health issues since 2008. Britney claimed the conservatorship had prevented her from having more children.
The singer said the two had learned about her pregnancy while on their vacation in Maui, Hawaii.
She told fans at the time: “I thought “Geez … what happened to my stomach ???” My husband said “No you’re food pregnant silly 🤪 !!!” So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼 … 4 days later I got a little more food pregnant 🤰🏼🙈🙈🙈 It’s growing !!!”
