Bangladeshi Channels

As of 2019, about 45 privately owned television channels were licensed by the Government of Bangladesh, of which thirty-four are currently broadcasting. Five television channels namely CSB News, Channel 1, Digant Television, Islamic TV and Channel 16 have been shut down. Bangladesh has four state-owned television stations and several privately owned television channels. Currently there are only two terrestrial television channels BTV Dhaka and BTV Chittagong. There are a total of 49 television channels in Bangladesh, of which 38 are currently broadcasting.

Most of the above Bangladeshi TV channels are privately owned and broadcast from Dhaka to North America, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. Sangsad Television and Bangladesh Television (BTV) are two terrestrial TV channels in the country.
