Arsenal in advanced talks to sign in-form striker, £43m offered

Arsenal are closing in on Gabriel Jesus after launching a €50million (£43million) bid to sign the Manchester City striker after Erling Haaland’s arrival.
It’s clear that Arsenal need to sign a new striker this summer.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract and looks set to walk away from Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta therefore needs to have at least two strikers brought in for next season.
Arsenal allegedly have a four-striker shortlist consisting of Jesus, Darwin Nunez, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ollie Watkins.
It now seems that Arsenal will focus more on Jesus than the other strikers.

Arsenal are closing in on Gabriel Jesus
Goal in Brazil now report that Arsenal have put a formal offer of €50million (£43million) on the table for Jesus.
The striker is understood to be interested in leaving City after Pep Guardiola’s men confirmed a deal for Haaland.
Haaland’s arrival makes it difficult for Jesus to play first-team football at City.
City still want a little more though; they’re seeking €60million (£51.5million) for Jesus this summer.
Whether Arsenal go in with a higher offer remains to be seen but it’s claimed that talks are advanced and ‘close to an end’.
If the reports in Jesus’s homeland are right, it looks like Jesus will be leading Arsenals attack next season.
Jesus in great form, now set for Arteta reunion?
Jesus, 25, has been in and out of the City team for most of the season.
The Brazilian has been outstanding of late though, notching seven goals and two assists in his last eight games.
Whether out wide on the right or played as a striker, Jesus has been making a real impact at the business end of the season for City.
Add in his pressing ability and you can understand why Mikel Arteta fancies a reunion.
Arteta worked with Jesus during his time as a coach at city whilst sporting director Edu also knows Jesus from Brazilian football.
This looks like an ideal move for all parties now Haaland is on board, and a deal seems to be advancing.
